Classifieds Plus Inc. (CPI) was incorporated in 2000. David W. McDuff was our company founder and President. He earned a reputation as a "serial entrepreneur" and for introducing innovative products and services that generated millions of dollars for the newspaper industry.

One of Mr. McDuff's companies developed relationships and direct partnerships with over 750 newspaper and classified ad executives. After the U.S. portion of these businesses was sold in 1998, he began looking for a new business strategy that could provide a needed service in the newspaper industry and renew the relationships he had previously established with newspapers throughout North America.

Mr. McDuff identified several problems experienced by newspaper classified ad departments. He concluded that there were significant sales and service opportunities from classified advertising that were not being addressed in the 24/7 marketplace.

Market research confirmed that there was an unmet demand from consumers to place classified advertising at night, on weekends and during holidays. It was recognized that it was not possible for individual newspapers or publishing groups to achieve the economies of scale to cost effectively provide live service 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, every day of the year. CPI was founded to in order to address this need on an industry wide level.
